Katrina is graceful and lovely, and Aditya does a fine job in a poignant and layered portrayal. Tabu brings in her inimitable brand of understated brilliance while Rekha is superb in a limited role. The music is moody and bittersweet and the cinematography is gorgeous. A film whose ambition is for something greater than its own mediocre narrative, Fitoor is a worthy addition to this year's Indian film calendar." 3 nominations The film was well received by critics. Sify gave 2 stars saying "It’s not that the movie does not have merits but it falls flat because it does not stick to one emotion for more than 50 minutes". Oneindia gave 3 stars saying ""Fitoor" is an unmitigated bore. The direction by Abhishek Kapoor could have been better, but it's sure that you won't expect anything less from him after his debut "De Dana Dan". The actors, especially Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur, make the film watchable". Times of India gave 3 stars saying "The film doesn't propel you forward; in fact, it holds you back. But what keeps you here is the sheer pleasure of watching some fine actors work their magic. NDTV gave 2. cfa1e77820
